Fun Portrait Session at Challenger Park in Simi Valley with Ashlyn 🌿✨
One of the greatest joys of my job is getting to photograph my seniors again as they move through new chapters of life. A year after her Royal High School graduation, Ashlyn came back to me for a just-for-fun portrait session — and what fun we had!
We met at Challenger Park in Simi Valley, one of my favorite spots for natural, relaxed portraits. This time, there wasn’t a cap and gown in sight — just Ashlyn’s radiant smile, her free spirit, and a chance to catch up on how life has been treating her since graduation.
I had her down in the dry riverbed and leaning against the beautiful trees that line Challenger Park. The variety of textures and scenery gave us so many options for creative shots. It felt like a mini adventure, and Ashlyn brought her usual positive energy that makes every image shine.
It’s always such an honor to reconnect with past seniors and document their journey beyond graduation. Seeing Ashlyn’s growth and confidence a year later was a wonderful reminder of why I love doing what I do.
