Charleston South Carolina
South Carolina has been on my bucket list for quite some time now. When I saw that the flight was only $98 I just couldn't resist. Johns not big into travel so he decided to stay behind with Maverick while the girls and I got to enjoy 4 glorious days together on the other side of the United States. Everyone told me we would love it there. It was absolutely beautiful. Ever since I upgraded my camera my Nikon has become our travel camera and I'm so glad I brought it with me.
The very first day was a travel day. Leaving the house at 2am to catch our 5:00 flight out of LAX. Once we landed in Charleston basically grabbed our rental car and some food and called it a night. Day 2 was amazing though. We visited the Middleton Place Plantation. We did all the tours, everything from the horse carriage ride to the house tour to even eating at the restaurant on the site. The shrimp and grits were delicious. It was nice to learn about all the history at the Plantation and not just walk around and see that its pretty. After the plantation we found some yummy bbq to enjoy and then headed downtown to see rainbow row and all the cute old houses.
The next day was another busy one. We woke up and loaded up the car cause it was our last day in South Carolina. Before we left we had to stop somewhere Makayla requested, Cypress Gardens. It's where the Notebook (her favorite movie) was filmed. Once again sooo glad I brought my camera. The girls were excited to be there and I was in heaven taking a million pictures of two of my favorite subjects.
