My Very First Simi High School Senior Session: Dylan, Class of 2024 🌿✨
Every photographer remembers their first client, and for me, it was Dylan, a 2024 Simi High School senior, who completely changed the course of my journey. I’ll be honest — I was nervous beyond words. Before the session, I called my mom, and we prayed together over it, asking for confidence, calm, and creativity.
At the time, I never imagined this would go anywhere. I didn’t even think I’d be here doing this full-time one day. (And funny enough, I’m not even sure I told them he was my first client!) But by the end of that session, I knew without a doubt that this was exactly what I wanted to do.
Being a true introvert at heart, I’ve always loved the one-on-one connection I get with my clients. This session was the perfect example of why. Dylan’s energy, excitement, and joy for life completely lit up every frame. I will forever be grateful that he trusted me to capture such an important milestone in his life.
That first session taught me so much about myself, my style, and the type of photographer I wanted to be. The memories from that day — Dylan’s laughter, playful poses, and natural spirit — will always hold a special place in my heart.
